Week 6 - August 10-14: Punch Needle Art / Wall Art Weaving
Punch Needle Art (Morning) / Wall Art Weaving (Afternoon)
Morning Session (10am-Noon): Fiber Artists will create a small punch needle design of their choice using the locker hooking or needle punch methods. These traditional methods create a colorful design using yarn and a punch needle and/or locker hook to create decorative loops on the surface of stretched fabric.
Afternoon Session (1-3pm): Fiber Artists will discover the basics of weaving using a flat table-top loom and wool yarn to create a beautiful wall hanging. Weavers will warp (set up) their Harrisville loom, perfect the plain weave, and finish their wall-hanging with multiple layers of fringe. Campers will take home their looms at the end of camp to continue weaving all year round!
$285 per week - Morning or Afternoon
For a full day of camp, register for both Morning and Afternoon sessions. Full Day campers should bring a lunch.
