Week 6 - August 11-15 Knitting Level III / Needle & Wet Felting
Knitting Level III (Morning) / Needle & Wet Felting (Afternoon)
Morning Session (10am-Noon): Knitting Level III campers (those already knitting) will advance their skills by knitting in the round to make a hat, cowl or headband. If they’ve already knit a hat they will learn how to purl and explore a more complex project (accessory) of their choice using both knit and purl stitches. Beginning knitters will learn the basics and knit a bunny, headband or scarf.
Afternoon Session (1-3pm): Campers will explore the art of felting with 100% wool roving to create a charming 3-dimensional animal figure using the needle (dry) felting technique. Then, they’ll get their hands wet and learn the art of wet felting! With this technique, our young fiber artists will use wool roving, water, and agitation to make decorative wool covered beads, soap and multi-colored wool fabric.
$285 per week - Morning or Afternoon
For a full day of camp, register for both Morning and Afternoon sessions. Full Day campers should bring a lunch.
