Week 5 - July 14-18 Crochet Level II / Sewing, Embroidery & Quilting
July 14-18 Crochet Level II (Morning) / Sewing, Embroidery & Quilting (Afternoon)
Morning Session (10am-Noon): Crochet Level II campers (those already crocheting) will advance their skills and learn how to make multi-colored granny squares using color-changing yarn. After four or more squares are completed, they will learn how to seam the squares together and make a small quilt, then edge with a single crochet stitch. Beginning crocheters are also welcome in this session and will learn the basics and make a basket or small placemat.
Afternoon Session (1-3 pm): Campers will choose their own embroidery design and floss colors, then learn various embroidery stitches to create a decorative image. The design will be backed with fabric and stuffed with fiberfill to create a small pillow. Next, they will explore the basics of hand sewing and fabric quilting by creating a nine-square placemat or a second pillow.
$285 per week - Morning or Afternoon
