Week 4 - July 7-11 Knitting Level II / Rigid Heddle Weaving

$285.00

Knitting Level II (Morning) / Rigid Heddle Weaving (Afternoon)

Morning Session (10am-Noon): Knitting Level II campers (those already knitting) will advance their skills by knitting in the round to make a hat, cowl or headband. If they’ve already knit a hat, they will learn how to purl and explore a more complex accessory project of their choice using both knit and purl stitches. This session is also open to beginning knitters, who will learn the basics and knit a bunny, headband or scarf.

Afternoon Session (1-3pm): Campers will discover the basics of weaving and create a beautiful six-color rainbow scarf. Weavers will team up together to warp (set up) their Harrisville rigid heddle loom, perfect the plain weave, and finish scarves with fringe. Artists will prepare their scarves for wearing by hand washing to soften the wool fibers.

$285 per week - Morning or Afternoon
For a full day of camp, register for both Morning and Afternoon sessions. Full Day campers should bring a lunch.
