Week 4 - July 6-10: Sewing, Embroidery & Quilting / Hand Sew a Sock Monkey
Sewing, Embroidery & Quilting (Morning) / Hand Sew a Sock Monkey (Afternoon)
Morning Session (10am-Noon): Campers will choose their own embroidery design and floss colors, then learn various embroidery stitches to create a decorative image. The design will be backed with fabric and stuffed with fiberfill to create a small pillow. Next, they will explore the basics of hand sewing and fabric quilting by creating a nine-square placemat or pillow.
Afternoon Session (1-3pm): Fiber Artists will use colorful socks, buttons, and fiberfill to create a traditional “red heel” sock monkey to take home and love. During the process of making their sock monkey, they will learn and practice hand sewing techniques… which they can even use to make more sock monkeys at home!
$285 per week - Morning or Afternoon
For a full day of camp, register for both Morning and Afternoon sessions. Full Day campers should bring a lunch.
