Baby Sweater Series I: Top Down in the Round

$130.00

Part I of our "Knit a Little" Baby Sweater Series

We’ve been perusing the adorable designs in Marie Greene's new book Knit a Little and are having a hard time deciding which to knit first. So instead of choosing, we’ve decided to make it a series! Over the next few months we are offering classes from Knit a Little, each highlighting a new knitting technique. All patterns in this book are knit in the round, top-down or bottom-up with 12 unisex sweater designs (sizes 0-10) and 12 matching beanies (preemie to adult). Baby and kid sweaters are the perfect tiny projects to learn new knitting and sweater construction skills. And all of the patterns have “Grown-up Versions” you can purchase separately to knit matching sweaters and hats for the entire family!

Part I of the Series - Top Down in The Round
Join us in making your choice of four top-down sweaters the Babbling Brook, Bitty Beekeeper, Clever Fox or Waterfall sweater; all four will teach you new techniques in beginning sweater construction and all are knit in one piece, from the top-down and in the round. If you would like to challenge yourself further and learn colorwork or striping with slipped stitches there are three additional pattern to choose from; Boathouse Jr., Soundbite and Playdate.

Skills: Students should know how to cast-on, knit, purl, knit in the round and have made a hat or a cowl previously.

Skills you will learn: Chart and pattern reading, seamless sweater knitting, knitting in the round, alternative neckline shaping.
