Arisu, our most admired shop sample, is now a class with Donna!

Arisu, designed by Svetlana Volkova, is a cropped boxy tee featuring a gorgeous lace hem and beautifully detailed V-neck. Worked seamlessly from the bottom up, with short row shaping in the shoulders, this is a fun and easy seamless knit. Arisu’s lace pattern is both charted and written out. If you prefer a longer sleeve, it is easily customizable.

Sveltlana is a young Ukrainian knitwear designer and volunteer editor on Ravelry. We are pleased to feature her intriguing designs. Donna knit up our shop sample in Malabrigo Sussuro, a Sport/DK weight summer blend of linen, silk and wool with beautiful drape and a touch of texture. Sussuro is available at Sister-Arts in a dozen vibrant semi-solid and six new variegated colors, which will you choose?

Skills you will learn: Lace work, staying on track with stitch markers, pattern and chart reading, German Short Rows, decreases, decorative yarn overs and three-needle bind off. Shaping and sizing options as well as blocking techniques will be discussed.
Note: We discovered a couple mathematical errors in the shoulder and neck shaping that we will help you navigate.

Skills: Students should know long-tail cast on, should be comfortable working with Sport / DK weight yarn, have experienc knitting in the round and can tink their work easily. Experience with simple lace work is helpful but not mandatory.

Yarn: Purchase Malabrigo, Sussuro yarn in the shop, please come with a completed gauge swatch.

Tools needed: US 6 x 32” circular needle, 20 stitch markers, crochet hook and darning needle.
