Ramona Cable Knit Vest Class
Ramona Cable Knit Vest Class
You can knit a cable sweater with this new take on a knitting classic!
If a classic cable knit sweater has been on your knitting wishlist, have we got the class for you! Annie Lupton’s Ramona Vest is the perfect beginner-friendly cable sweater— it features one striking cable panel on an otherwise simple piece. Plus it’s sleeveless, which means you can finish quickly and throw it on during a cool summer evening!
Instructor Shara will lead students through the Ramona Vest, which is knit from the bottom up. You’ll review cable basics and learn to follow the pattern’s chart. You’ll start knitting in the round, then split to knit the top portions flat. You’ll finish the piece with some short rows at the neck and shoulders for a better fit.
What You Need to Know: This is an Intermediate class. Students should know how to cast on, bind off, knit, purl, and be comfortable knitting flat and knitting in the round in rib stitch. New to cables? We suggest taking the one-session Learn To Cable class first!
What You’ll Learn: Pattern reading, garment sizing, short rows, cable knitting, bottom-up construction, separating for front and back.
