Lopi Colorwork Yoke Sweater Class
Lopi Colorwork Yoke Sweater Class
Learn to knit a Lopi yoke sweater and fall in love with this timeless traditional design!
Have you ever looked at a beautiful colorwork sweater and thought, “I could never knit that”? Well with this class, yes you can! The beautiful traditional Lopi designs from Istex are the perfect introduction to colorwork sweaters. With Shara’s expert help, you’ll be rocking your very own Kastali sweater in no time!
Kastali is a classic yoke sweater knit from the bottom up with no seaming necessary. Students can choose to knit an adult (unisex) or child’s size. You’ll also get to choose your palette of four colors from our large selection of beautiful, rustic Istex Léttlopi yarn. In class, you’ll learn bottom-up construction, how to read colorwork charts and knit colorwork, and tips for gauge and fit.
Skills: This is an intermediate-level class. Students should know how to long-tail cast-on, knit in the round, and decrease stitches.
You will learn: Bottom-up sweater construction, chart reading, colorwork knitting, stretchy cast-on, and invisible ribbed bind-off.
