Afterschool Knit & Crochet Club
Afterschool Knit & Crochet Club
Kids, get crafty after school at the Knit & Crochet Club!
Sister-Arts Afterschool Knit & Crochet Club is designed to enhance your child's fiber-art abilities through knitting or crocheting. Students are required to select either knit or crochet, purchase the necessary Afterschool Starter Kit, and then enroll for as many Friday afternoon sessions as you like! Knit & Crochet Club is geared toward ages 7 - 14 (2nd - 8th grade).
Beginner knitters will learn the slip knot, cast-on, and knit stitch to create a scarf or headband. Those with knitting experience will learn the purl stitch, practice the stockinette stitch, and then master the rib stitch.
Beginner crocheters will master the slip knot, chain, and single crochet stitches to create scarves or headbands. Those with more experience will advance to half-double, double, and triple crochet stitches.
Afterschool sessions are for beginner level students. We strive to provide each child the attention required to master beginner skills. If your child requires attention on a specific project, please discuss this with Donna prior to registration.
