Davis Tee Spring Sweater Class

$120.00

Celebrate spring and knit the Davis Tee in this advanced beginner class!

Ready to knit your first spring sweater? Davis Tee designed by Pam Allen is the perfect beginner-friendly pattern for a lightweight, cotton blend sweater. If you can knit, purl, and knit in the round you will be wearing this tee before the daffodils bloom!

Join Donna as you work through knitting this fashionable boxy, drop sleeve sweater in one piece from the bottom up. The front and back are separated at the underarms and knit flat with neck shaping and completed with a three needle bind off at the shoulders. Sleeve stitches are picked up and knit at 3/4 length while neckline stitches are picked up and bound off to create a simple rolled edge. Because Davis is knit with US 10 needles and a fluffy worsted weight yarn, this sweater will truly fly off your needles. Choose from seven sizes for your perfect fit!

Skills: Students should know how to cast-on (long tail) knit, purl, knit in the round on circular needles and have made a basic hat previously. Students should come to class with a gauge swatch completed.

You will learn: Pattern reading, bottom-up construction, backward loop cast-on, basic decreases, wrap & turn, putting stitches on holders, picking up stitches and three needle bind-off. We will discuss stitch gauge, sweater sizing, armhole and sleeve length, and blocking recommendations.
